From a distance most people appear to have fairly normal, happy everyday lives.
As you spend time with someone you begin to scratch the surface and find out who they really are, and what is going on in their life beneath the first impressions.
We all have such varied and interesting lives. We really do.
From good things to bad things, everyone has stories to tell and experiences to share, but we only get to hear those things when we take the time to stop and listen and be with someone.
God came and walked among us. Jesus spent time with people. He didn't shy away from the celebrations or the harsh realities of human existence.
The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
John 1 v 14 (NIV)
